DO NOT GO HERE!!

I just moved to the Lubbock area and needed to find a place to get my hair colored and cut. I found the Village Hairstyles online and it sounded like a salon with a lot of experience so I decided to try it. I am a blonde and prefer the whiter blonde as opposed to the caramel and golden tone blonde. I stressed this with my stylist and together we picked out a picture of the exact blonde color I was wanting (and have received at every other salon I have gone to). She turned my hair ORANGE and only cut a few strands of hair. I walked out with Blonde, Red, and Orange streaks in my hair and still had tons of SPLIT ENDS!! After being told repeatedly how terrible my hair looked, I decided to call the salon. I spoke with the owner who was not willing to cater to my distress at all!!! Then I spoke with my stylist who agreed to give me my money back and then hung up on me. Well 2 days later she yelled at me and said she refused to give me my money back because she knew my hair looked good! I have NEVER been to a salon where the STYLIST does a terrible job on the color, charges you for a cut that never happened, and then yells at you because your not happy. Never Again!!

When this lady called with her complaint she ask what my policy is when someone is unhappy with her hair. I told her that when someone is unhappy with their hair that I will look at it and evaluate it and do my best to correct the situation to her liking. She wanted me to commit to give her a refund without looking at her hair. I told her I could not do that. She needed to come in so I could see what her problem was. I was totally surprised to hear this complaint about the stylist. This stylist is one of the best stylist in the whole Southwest. She resently moved to Lubbock and We are privileged to have her join our staff. She is a former educated who conducted classes on hair color and services to the stylist for a very renowned product line. This lady knows her color and products. She will not jeapordize a client's hair with a service if the hair's condition is not good. As she said, she wanted it very light. At this point the stylist told her her hair was not in the condition to lighten to this level. She said she lightened it to a healthly level, one that did not endanger her hair breaking, and did not charge her for a hair cut. I pulled her ticket to see what she charged this lady. I was not rude to this client when she called. Surprised but not rude.I felt she was very demanding. I ask her several times to come back in so I could look at it, She refused. I am sorry she had a bad experience.

Wonderful Results!!

I went into Village Hairstyles with damaged and unmanageable hair. I left with wonderful results and received dozens of compliments. The serviced I received was undeniably the best in town. They gave me an up-to-date look with great texture and bold color. My hairstylist and owner Hazel actually cared about what I wanted and respected my opinion. I have tried many different places when I needed to get my hair cut or dyed. I have finally found a place where I can go back every single time and not worry about the results. Also, I love the assortment of products they carry. They still have products I have yet to try, like the great lengths extensions and eye lash extensions. When I am ready to try them out I will definitely go there. I would recommend Village Hairstyles to everyone and anyone.

They actually listen

I walked into a few salons and walked out before finding this one, and I found it to be very welcoming. Its good to feel like your business is important. If you want something out of the ordinary this is the place to go, and the prices are great too.

Highly Recommended!!!!!

The staff and owner are very helpful. I've had my hair cut, colored ,and highlighted at Village Hairstyles for the last 18 years. I've never had a complaint. Hazel Love, the shop owner, is probably the most experienced and always up on the latest styles and techniques. They always have all the products you need and offer great advice on how to maintain your style. Highly Recommended!!!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Posted by meredith555 on 12/18/2007

I have dark blonde hair and have been having it high lighted for several years at Aalon Salon. They have always done a great job, but I decided to try Village Hairstyles because it is lower priced. Well now I know why it was so cheap!! They completely damaged my hair and turned it orange! I have NEVER had that experience in all the years that I have been high lighting my hair every eight weeks. After attempting to fix it (unsuccessfully), the owner gave me a lecture about how I had ruined my own hair. I guess she thought that I had sat down in her chair and put the high lights in myself! The only thing I did wrong was walk into her business. NEVER trust your hair with Village Hairstyles. I walked in with healthy hair that needed a little touching up and left with fried orange hair.

I want to apologize for any bad experience you had at my salon. The stylist that performed the service you requested is no longer with the salon. She is new to the profession. I try to oversee new stylist but if I am busy I don't always catch a problem. The stylist are suppose to inform me if they need help. This stylist did not follow instructions which created this bad review. I would have been glad to correct the problem at no charge given the opportunity. She has been replaced by a well experience stylist who has had 20 yrs experience in the field and is a former educator.I have owned the salon for 20 years and try very hard to insure that the clients are happy with their service.
