Disappointed

I recently had lunch at the 4th Street Applebee's in Lubbock. I was part of a party of 7. There was another large party there at the same time, but the restaurant was no where at capacity. While I can understand being slammed in the kitchen when everyone orders at the same time (I am a restaurant owner), service was horrible! We waited an hour for our food. The pasta was cold and had no chicken in it, there was no dressing on any salads, nothing was hot. We asked the waitress to see the manager and no one appeared. When the experience was shared back at work, two people said "You must have gone to the one on 4th-service is terrible". One of the women in our party stated that right after the restaurant opened they went and had bad service and would not return. She only went because she was invited and thought the experience would be better. Imagine her surprise to learn that nothing had changed. I would recommend proper training and measures taken to handle lunch crowds-knowing that is a busy time.
